About

My approach is as an observer, subtle and unobtrusive, focused on capturing wonderful moments of your wedding day using photojournalism as a storytelling approach instead of shooting many posed pictures. When necessary, a second photographer or assistant add more angles and dimension to a larger event when both formals and candids are necessary.

Your photography coverage can include starting with location shots, fun dressing shots, pre ceremony of guests arriving, details such as floral arrangements, tent decorations, gown details, ceremony, groups and formal afterwards, cocktail hour, and reception. You can choose to have us all day or for 1 hour only!

I carefully edit all the photos after the wedding day and back up all images on external hard drives to ensure they are never lost. Once the event has been photographed, I spend quality time with post computer production making sure that all images are consistent in exposure and coloring. This time spent doing this will ensure excellent prints! I also love to choose a few images that I convert to black/white. Turnaround time is generally 4 weeks.

On a personal note, I started out as a documentary fine art photographer and photographed mill workers of Maine. You will find many of these images in the book “Where the Mountains Meet the Sea: A History of the Camden Area 1900-2000”, and have several photographs in the archives of the Maine State Museum. I love music and art am also a music programmer with two live radio shows that air two days a week here in Maine. I am also an assemblage artist and work with metal, wood, and stone to create 3D art pieces that sell well all over the country. So as you see, I am a busy girl!

I would love to have the opportunity to photograph your very special day!
